Speed Dial function on CECT P168

To use the speed dial feature on this phone you have to follow this steps:

Go to MAIN MENU
SETTINGS
PHONE SETUP
7 SPEED DIAL

If it is off, turn it on with option 1
Then go to option 2 SET NUMBER
And edit the empty field corresponding to the number you want to press to speed dial
The numbers must be on your address book because it select them from there.

Once done, when you go to the dial screen with the numbers keypad, you just select the one corresponding to the speed dial marked before and then press the phone key.
Or just keep pressing the number with the speed dial desired.

On my CECT i9, I can set up speed dialing as follows:

Go to MAIN MENU
Go to CALLS
Go to GENERAL CALL SETTINGS
Go to SPEED DIAL
Go to ENABLE SPEED DIAL to enable the feature
Go to SET NUMBER to set up the speed dial numbers

Hope this helps.

I've also got the i9. I've setup 4 speed dials. But when I go to the keypad and hold down, for example, 2... it just starts repeating the character 2, like 22222

The I9 is more like the Sciphone i68. In those phones to speed dial you need to press the number and then the "#" key.

See the blog about the i68 for more details

Thanks... the speed dial works (mostly). I don't have the "1" to get to voicemail like usual... any ideas?

Is it possible that these i9 sciphones are knock offs from the Cect mfg.ed phones and don't have these features? (Speed dial- Voice-mail)

For speed dial I had to tweak it a bit more... I did enable the speed dial. But then had to copy the contacts that I wanted to speed dial from the phone to the SIM (it's an option on the contact in the phone book). Then select those users in the specific order that I was associating the speed dial.

I had to delete those guys on the SIM a couple of times and clear the speed dial before I finally got it to work but it's fine now

Tried to set speed dial using all the above, Speed dial work but selects a phone number with no reference to the number loaded in the speed dial list.

did the workaround, now can pull up the contact with number and "#" key. BUT then cannot dial it. No 'little green phone' icon anywhere... what to do?
